The Football Association of Zambia FAZ Ethics Committee has recommended Andrew Kamanga for the candidature of the CAF Executive Committee position after passing the Integrity leaving out football icon Kalusha Bwalya.

FAZ Communications Manager Mwazi Sakala Chanda says this follows a request by the assocition’s Executive Committee to the Ethics Committee to subject the two aspiring candidates for the CAF Executive Committee position.

Chanda says the Ethics Committee noted in its report that the other candidate Kalusha Bwalya declined to undergo the requisite test that was prescribed under Article 60 of the FAZ Constitution as embedded in the FIFA Governance Regulations (FGR), Article 4 on “Eligibility Checks.

Chanda says the Committee reports that Kalusha declined to undergo the Integrity Test on account that he is an immediate past CAF executive member and that he had served out his ban by FIFA which was commuted.

Chanda says the committee’s reports read in part that Kalusha’s objection to undergo the Eligibility Test is against the FIFA Governance Regulations.

She says nominations for the elections that will held in July will close on May 31, 2019.
